10 Free Alphabet Printables #TopTenTues

ABC Printables

With the school year fast approaching, I have been on the search to find some alphabet printables for Bear.  She is a beast at her alphabet, which is a shock to us after her struggles with seizures.

When Bear was 5 1/2 months, she was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms, and our world was forever changed.  Later, after we got her seizures under control and she became seizure free off of medicines, we learned that she had a rare genetic mutation called 14 q 12 micro duplication.  With this overall diagnosis, we were told she may never talk and that she may have a hard time reading.

Well, she is proving the doctors wrong.  Not only can she talk, but she knows all of her abc’s and she can recognize them at random on alphabet cards.

So, I am seizing the moment to start doing some preschool work with her next school year.  And I am going to focus on the alphabet to help her learn new words as well.

In my search, I came across these great sites with printables to help her to do this.

1.  Alphabet Coloring Pages from Fisher Price.

2.  Alphabet Activity Worksheet from First School.

3.  Letters Coloring Pages (both easy and hard) from All Kids Network.

4.  Various Pages for Each Letter from tlsbooks

5.  ABC Alphabet Coloring Pages from Free Coloring Pages.

6.  ASL Alphabet Coloring Pages from DLTL’s Growing Together.

7.  Alphabet Coloring Pages from Mr. Printables

8.  Color the Alphabet from Tip Junkie

9.  Detail Alphabet Pages from Crayola

10.  Train Alphabet Coloring Pages from Coloring Pages for Kids

Now I have a great starting point for the school year.  Now to make copies and start my lesson plans.  I am excited already.

10 Favorites from #B90Days #TopTenTues

Bible

When I made my decision to read through the entire Bible in 90 days, I really didn’t know what I was getting myself into.  I knew I had a stirring in my heart to read and go deeper, but I didn’t realize exactly how much reading I would be doing.

Don’t get me wrong!  I am so grateful that I am using my summer to grow and go deeper, it just seems that it almost bogs me down.  But then, when I come across certain scriptures that speak to the deepest parts of my spirit and soul, I am reminded about how worth it this really is.

Today, I want to share with you 10 of my favorites that I have came across so far as I have read up through part of 1 Samuel.  And, hopefully, I will get completely caught up today, if housework and my boys will let me ;)

1.  Genesis 21:22

“Then Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there called on the name of the Lord, the Everlasting God.”

2.  Exodus 14:13

“And Moses said to the people, Do not be afraid.  Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today.  For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.”

3.  Exodus 15:26

“and said, If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statues, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you.”

4.  Exodus 23:25, 26

“So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless you bread and your water.  And I will take sickenss away from the midst of you.  No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.”

5.  Exodus 33:11

“So the Lord spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.  And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle.”

6.  Exodus 36:5-7

“and they spoke to Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which the Lord commanded us to do.  So Moses gave a commandment, and they caused it to be proclaimed throughout the camp, saying, Let neither man nor woman do any more work for the offering of the sanctuary.  And the people were restrained from bringing, for the material they had was sufficient for all the work to be done indeed too much.”

7.  Numbers 6:24-26

“The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countance upon you, and give you peace.”

8.  Numbers 23:19

“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent.  Has He said, and will He not do?  Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”

9.  Deuteronomy 6:4-6

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!  You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.  And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.”

10.  Ruth 1:16, 17

“But Ruth said: Entreat me not to leave you, or to turn back from following after you; for wherever you go, I will go; and wherever you lodge, I will lodge, your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.  Where you die, I will die, and there will I be buried.  The Lord do so to me, and more also, if anything but death parts you and me.”

There you have it!  A small sampling of my favorite so far.  There were so many, I had to pick and choose.

What is encouraging you this summer?

Top Ten Favorite Signs of Pregnancy #TopTenTues

”Photobucket”

Today, I received a text message from a girl in my youth group who was happy to inform me that her dad and step-mom had just had a baby!  I was excited for them, but even more puzzled.  Why was this the first time I had heard of this pregnancy?

It was then that I found out that it was the first that the girl had heard about it, too.  Better yet, it was the first that her dad and step-mom had heard about it.  Seriously!  The woman was 38 weeks pregnant and didn’t even know it!

That is when I thought of my favorite signs of pregnancy, and since I hadn’t done a Top Ten post in awhile, I thought I might just share them Top Ten style.

So, without further adieu:

1.  The missed period!  Yep, this is the my first favorite sign.  It gets me all excited and worked up inside.

2.  The positive test.  Yeah, I have taken multiple tests with each of my pregnancies, and that has been part of the fun!

3.  Morning sickness.  Yes, it is a pain, but at least it lets you know that the baby is there and growing healthy.

4.  The end of the 1st trimester!  And the end of morning sickness!

5.  First kicks.  What momma doesn’t love this part.  Bonding with your baby through each kick is amazing.

6.  Ultrasound.  Confirmation that the baby is doing well and growing nicely.  We have had 4 this go around, with a 5th on the way in a few weeks.  I find these so much fun!

7.  Growing belly.  In some ways, I don’t really like this one because you get so large, but there is a baby in there!  And pregnant women are cute!

8.  Increased appetite.  I love food!

9.  Naps!  Yes, no one likes to be tired, but it is a great excuse for naps!

10.  Others notice.  I get comments all the time about how cute I am and how I must be getting close.  And I like the attention!

What are your favorite signs of pregnancy?
