I don’t like to clean bathrooms.

I enjoy the fresh smell and I like a sparkling mirror, but the task isn’t my favorite to undertake.  In fact, I avoid it more than anything else in my house.  That includes the kitchen floor, which is pretty nasty in our parts.

Part of my problem with the bathroom is the grungy potty.  And living where we live in the country, we have very hard water which leaves a pink ring that does not want to come off!

Recently, thanks to the folks over at Purex, I had the chance to review the all new Soft Scrub 4-in-1 Toilet Care rim hanger.  And I have found an affordable option to take care of my potty cleaning woes!

This new cleaner from Soft Scrub is easy to install.  Simply open up the toilet and place it where the water flows in.  It costs less than $2 and smells great!  I love to open up a new package and put it in the bathroom so that it smells like I cleaned Winking smile.

I have also noticed that the toilet looks cleaner and the pink ring is almost gone.  That is exciting for this mommy who doesn’t like to scrub.

And in order to celebrate my clean toilet, I have 3 coupons for a free Soft Scrub product to give to 3 MHA readers.  To enter, simply leave a comment below telling me your least favorite house cleaning task.  Shares on Facebook and Twitter can get you an extra entry as well, just leave a separate comment for each.

wet and forget

Being a stay at home mommy of three little ones, I feel like I am always cleaning.  Diaper changes, meal prep and pick up are all a part of my job description.

I don’t like too much clutter, so I often find myself picking up toys, food and other various things off the floor.  Otherwise, baby Ben will have his smorgasbord of foods and various things to eat.  Between clutter control and baby chasing, I find it hard to do other big tasks like deep cleaning the kitchen or cleaning up the bathroom.

And scrubbing the shower to get it the soap scum off is definitely at the bottom of my list!

But thanks to the great cleaner that I received to review, Wet & Forget Shower, I don’t have to worry about this nearly as much!  I can just add a little shower cleaning to the end of my daily getting ready routine and we are all set.

This great cleaner is so easy to use.  Simply stretch out the three foot long cord, spray, rinse and forget.  We leave out on the shelf in our shower so that we don’t forget it!  You could easily place it under the bathroom sink or in a different area out of reach of little ones if need be.  The big bottle of 12 week cleaner isn’t heavy and is very transportable.

The vanilla smell is very light and leaves the bathroom smelling fresh.  And the cleaner works!  Here is a look at our before and after cleaning:

You can find Wet & Forget Shower online and on Facebook and Twitter.  I am happy with this product and continue to use it in order to keep our shower fresh and clean.  But don’t take my word for it.  One MHA reader can win their own bottle of Wet & Forget Shower cleaner.

Simply leave a comment below telling me why you would like to win.  Shares on Facebook and Twitter receive extra entries.  Leave a comment for each one.

The giveaway will close on May 14 at 5pm CST and is open to residents of the US, 18 years old and older.  The winner will be contacted by email and will have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen.

Combat ant Killing Bait Strips #Sponsored

The other day, I had quite the scary experience.  I was in the middle of getting Lilibeth down for her nap, and in order to get her in, I had to pick up a few toys.  It was then that I saw the first little guy:

how to get rid of ants

This winged creature, also known as a winged ant (not termite), was having a great time amongst her toys.  But where did he come from.

After further investigation at her window, here is what I found:

And I wanted them gone!  I found them all over the place in her toys and it was time for them to go.  Thankfully, I had just received for review these great new Combat Ant Killing Bait Strips in the mail.  What better place to try them then in my little girls room.

These great bait strips not only kill the ants you can see, but they kill the nest.  They have a great discreet design that sticks where you put them with the attached sticky strip.  They are easy to apply, leave no mess and they kill fast.  I actually noticed dead ants the very next day.

Each strip lasts for 30 days, so if you have a problem of recurrent ants, you can simply put a new strip out.  I have found these strips to be the best way to get rid of ants in my home.  And after the problem we had with them last year, I refuse to deal with them this year.  And I will be fighting with Combat.

During the months of April through June, Combat is hosting an online sweepstakes where you can be eligible to win one of three $250 Visa gift cards or one $1000 grand prize Visa gift card.  You can enter to win the sweepstakes here.

Combat Killing Bait Strips can be found at most major retailers including Walmart and Target and are available in 5 count ant and 10 count roach varieties.  Be sure to give them a try as bugs come out to play this spring and summer.

Sickies and boo Boo Covers #Sponsored

Disclosure: I was provided with two sample boxes of Band Angels to facilitate my review.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Our house has been under attack this past week.  Literally, an entire week.

It all started with a weird illness that Daddy Head and I got.  Then Ryan came down with it.  Next was Lilibeth, who in turn gave it back to Daddy Head and I.  Thankfully Benjamin stayed clear away.

And we hope to keep it that way!

Anyway, because of all the sickies, that is why I wasn’t around yesterday.  I was laying on the couch praying that I could handle one more jump or bump from the kids.  They really do love their mommy and show their comfort in interesting ways.

For instance, Benjamin like to pinch me while he nurses.  He pinches and I jump in pain.  So much so that he got after one of my scars from the chicken pox when I was a kid and got it all inflammed.  The only solution I came up with was a band aid.

And not just any band aid, mind you.  Band Angels!

These adorable band aids are made with children in mind.  Each bandage has a comforting scripture on them in order to cover your child’s boo boo with the Word.  I got a couple of boxes awhile back to review and, well, I am just now getting to do that.

I love how these band aids are adorned with cute little angels and scriptures.  They are easy to put on and easy to take off.  They also don’t leave as much left over residue as other bandages I have used in the past.  They are even latex free, so those with latex allergies don’t need to worry.

You can get Band Angels at some local Christian Bookstores (our Lifeway has them) or you can order them online from the Band Angel Website.  Be sure to check them out on Facebook and Twitter as well!

Cocka Doodle Doo the Right Thing

Disclosure: I was provided with a copy of this DVD in order to facilitate my review.  All thoughts and opinions are my own

I must admit, we watch a lot of DVDs in our home.  It all started when Lilibeth was a baby and we needed her to learn sign language because of her speech delays.  Then when Ryan came along with similar speech issues, we really needed them to learn.

As my children have gotten older, and as Lilibeth has overcome her speech delay, watching DVDs just stuck.  But I wanted them to watch something with more spiritual flair and would teach them good morals.

That has led to many hours of viewing just about every Christian DVD that I can get my hands on.  And with April 30th being National Honesty Day, I am happy to tell you about one of my new favorites.

Being a Tommy Mommy, this month I was given a copy of Cocka Doodle Doo the Right Thing to watch with my children.  This episode focuses on treating others like we want to be treated.  And boy does Hercules get a good lesson on this one.

I don’t want to give the story away, so just trust me that it will leave your children laughing and learning at the same time.  It has opened up plenty of discussion between me and my two oldest children on wisdom and how we treat others.  If we wouldn’t like our brother to hit us, we shouldn’t hit our brother, am I right?

And as a way to celebrate National Honesty Day on April 30th, I am doing a little giveaway of Cocka Doodle Doo courtesy of Tommy Nelson.  All you have to do is tell me in a comment how you are teaching your children this age old proverb of treat others how you would like to be treated.  Shares on Facebook and Twitter will get you extra entries if you leave a separate comment for each.

The giveaway will end on National Honesty Day, April 30th at 5pm CST.  The winner must be a resident of the US and 18 years old or older.  I will contact the winner by email and they will have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen.
