Me Time with International Delight Light Iced Coffee #LightIcedCoffee

International Delight Light Iced Coffee

Being a mommy of 3 little ones, 3 and under, I find myself looking for ways to find me time in the middle of my day.  I read an awesome post from a fellow homeschool blogger awhile back that truly inspired me.  I wish I remembered where I read it because it was really that good.

She was a mommy of 7 and she talked about how she made it a point to take a nap or have me time every day.  She worked super hard to get her children to nap or have quiet time all at the same time.  Instead of using nap time as a place to do housework or other mundane tasks, she used it as a way to refuel herself so she was sure to give her best to her children.  And I have been doing this ever since.

But how I refuel is a little different than she did.  I sometimes take a nap, but most of the time I find myself sitting on my couch drinking a cup of International Delight Iced Coffee and eating a couple of dark chocolate squares while watching a television program or reading a book.  I might even do some blog work on my down time.

I have come to crave this time every day.  I get a little cranky when I don’t.

I found only one problem with my system though.  With my weight loss journey in progress, these calories consumed were making me feel a little guilty.

But the folks at International Delight have thought through these issues for other people like me who love their iced coffee and are trying to watch what they are eating:

Low Sugar Coffee

International Delight Light Iced Coffee!

This new light iced coffee has 1/3 fewer calories and less sugar than the regular International Delight Iced Coffee, with no sacrifice of taste.  Seriously, I thought for sure that when I tried this Light Iced Coffee that it would have a weird after taste.

Not. At. All.

I actually enjoyed the taste of this reduced calorie iced coffee more than the regular.  And since this new iced coffee is due to release January 21st at Walmart in the dairy case, I am looking forward to using the Mocha and Vanilla flavored International Delight Light Iced Coffee to have my me time every day.

Here was the fun part for me.  International Delight was so kind in thinking about how mommy’s are on the go people and gave me a little gift besides just the ability to try their new Light Iced Coffee:

They sent me my own tumbler to enjoy my International Delight Light Iced Coffee in every day.  How thoughtful!

You do look cute!! I enjoy cooking during my Kids Naptime. It really is an outlet for me :) I’m not a big coffee drinker but I may give this a try!

  2. Oh, how I miss naptime! Great idea to at least enact a quiet time/naptime every afternoon — Moms definitely deserve a break in the afternoons to refuel! :)
