Half-Marathon Goals – Weekly Weigh In – January 16

Welcome to the second week of the Weekly Weigh In link up.  I have joined up with my friends from Crazy and Cool with a side of Crafty and Raising Three Savvy Ladies to bring you this place to share your goals and accomplishments, your setbacks and fears.  We want your help to go up higher and we want to help you, too.

This week, I want to share with you my three goals for my upcoming half-marathon!  I can hardly believe how close it is, let alone that I am doing one.  I always used to say that people who ran that far were crazy…and know I guess that makes me crazy.

I have thought long and hard about what I want to accomplish through my run.  I want to set myself up to win, and in order to do this, I have settled on 3 goals.

  1. 1. To Finish
  2. 2. To Run the Whole Thing
  3. 3. To Finish it in under 2 hours and 30 minutes.

If I can accomplish goal 1, I will be happy.  Goal 2 would make me excited.  To do all 3 goals, I will be on cloud 9!

Now, my running schedule and workout goals for this week are:

  • Thursday: 4 mile run
  • Friday: Personal Training Group
  • Saturday: 12 mile run
  • Sunday: Rest day
  • Monday: 4 mile run
  • Tuesday: Body Weight or Pilates
  • Wednesday: 5 mile run

After my run Saturday, I begin tapering for my race!  So excited!
