Another week has come an gone. I can hardly believe the amount of work I have put into this this summer, and the amount of payoff.
This past week was a week of traveling. Sorry that I haven’t been around much, but when you are in the car, it is kind of hard to keep up. And it can be hard to keep your weight loss goals in check as well.
But I am happy to share with you my biggest weight loss secret, and exactly what helped me keep a loss this weekend. First off, here is a picture of my scale:
And now, for my weight loss secret: my workout diary!
Every time I workout, I finish it up by recording what I did inside my lovely notebook. This helps me to keep my ideas fresh, and serves as a motivator. All I have to do is take a look at how hard I worked out when I feel like quitting, and I’m good to go. I want to fill up this book, so I won’t quit!
Here is a view of two of my days a few weeks past:
All you need for this great motivation is a notebook and a pen or pencil. I use a page per workout, but you could certainly double up or whatever to conserve paper. I love to look at how quickly my book is filling up, so I use a page per workout.
Right now, with back to school going on, you can easily score some amazing notebooks for next to nothing. Plus, it’s a small price to pay to keep things fresh in your workout routine.

Oh! Good call. I need to see if I can find one next time I’m at the store.
Love it!! My biggest secret is my food log on myfitnesspal.com. I’ve never thought about logging my workouts though. Great idea!
I’ve heard about myfitnesspal. I really need to check it out. Thanks for the reminder
Having a calorie counter like myplate or sparkpeople. Many of them you just need to put what you ate and how much-they even have restaurants and what their calorie counts are for them.
Workout journals, food journals! So important!!
