Ready for something new and fun? Friday’s here at Mommy Head Adventures will now be celebrated as Family Fun!
I have teamed up with my mother in law over at Frontline Moms to start this great new link up where you can come and join us with your Family Fun posts. We will start it all up next week. Posts you can include are:
- Fun Crafts
- Fun Recipes
- Fun Family Outings
- Fun Mom Games, or,
- Funny Stories of Your Family
As long as it’s Family Friendly and Fun, you can link it up. We even have a fun button for you to use to get the word out:

Be sure to come back next week and link up your posts. Be sure to use the hashtag #FamFunFriday so we can keep track of your posts on Twitter. You may even see your post show up on the MHA Facebook page or pinned on my Family Friday Pinterest page. Be sure to give them both a follow.
Here is my first Family Fun post where I am sharing with you the fun new season we are heading into around my house.
*****

Earlier this week, I announced the books I would be reading for the Month of August. In that post, I shared that we were entering into a new season in our house. I am excited to share that my dearest Bear will be starting the potty training process this month.
I have been waiting for the perfect time to begin her potty training. With her developmental delays, I knew she would be potty trained later than some would be. She just wasn’t really showing she was ready.
These past few months, she has really taken a liking to her Potty Time Singing Time DVD and lets me know when I am going potty. She can show me the signs, and even sings the potty time song when I go. I can’t tell you the amount of times I have heard, “Potty, Wipe, Flush, Wash.” It is a frequent thing in our home.
So, we begin this month, all while entering into the preschool homeschooling. As I have said before, Bear is in love with the alphabet, so we are going to jump on this love and begin preschool. I have ordered her curriculum, and once it is here we will get the supplies and get it started. I plan to ask for much help from my mother in law and the other moms involved in our homeschool co-op. This is all new territory for me.
I am excited about this new season and I have decided that it will be fun. I get to potty train my first child! What can be more fun than that?
