As you can probably tell by my title, I have some news to share. I debated for a long time how to break the news this morning, and have decided to just go ahead and put it out there:’
Yep, I had a gain.
If there is one thing I have learned during my weight loss journey, since I have tried doing this before, it is that there will sometimes be a gain instead of a loss.
It is what you do about that gain that makes the difference!
I have found it very helpful to take a step back and determine why you had the gain. Sometimes it is due to muscle gain after you first start working out. Other times it is poor eating choices or lack of exercise that will set you back.
In my case, Daddy Head and I went away on a much needed trip these past few days. We took baby Banana along for the ride since he is an EBF baby. He wasn’t nursing as well as I would have liked, which is fine. Add on to that a lot of eating out and you can see the pattern.
Now, I did make wiser choices than I would have in the past, and I did have a lot more physical activity to log this week, but none the less, there was still a gain.
But, I am not going to get out of shape about it. I am going to pay my dues to Daddy Head for the gain and get right back on it. I will lose back what I gained and use this as a learning experience!
