2012 Monthly Reading – May Check In

Whew!  Another month down.  Only 7 left in the year.

I am happy to check in with you this month and let you know about what I have been reading.  I actually finished up my reading pretty early, and plan to in June as well.  Vacation for the first week will make that pretty easy I think.  Check back in June to see my new list :)

Forgotten God: Reversing Our Tragic Neglect of the Holy Spirit by Francis Chan was so good.  I had my eyes opened to how much I really grieve the Holy Spirit.  I also learned so much of who He is.  In Francis Chan’s style, I was totally able to dig into the Word and figure out much for myself.  I finished this book up more hungry than before.  I believe this is what led me to take place in #B90Days.

The No Brainer Wardrobe: Get Dressed with More Confidence and Less Fuss by Hayley Morgan really challenged me in my wardrobe thinking.  I don’t want to just buy clothes because they are cheap.  I want to buy pieces that make me feel good and fit me great, too.  This was a great read for me as I switched out my closet from maternity to regular clothes.  I already have a big pile put aside for a yard sale.

The Apothecary’s Daughter by Julie Klassen was a great read.  I found myself being torn between which man would be her beloved, and had quite the surprise at the end.  I love historical romance, and this one had suspense added in, which is always an added plus.  Clean and heart hitting, I totally recommend this book.

There you have it for this month.  Check in this weekend for next month’s list.
