There is a variety of benefit amounts ranging from $10,000 to $150,000, all of which have a premium that you pay monthly based on the term you choose. One of the things that causes this program to stand out above the rest is that it is not a 529 plan, meaning that the parent knows exactly how much money there is in the end, and the economy does not affect it! It also allows for the money in the Gerber Life College Plan to be used as life insurance if the need would arise.
Gerber Life College Plan has teamed up with Reading is Fundamental, a program that makes reading fun and beneficial in the everyday life of children and parents. Reading is Fundamental has made it their goal to provide age appropriate reading material to children from birth to age 8 by getting books into their homes.
Gerber Life College Plan is planning to donate $10,000 to Reading is Fundamental through a project called Project Open Book by Feb 13th, and you can be a part.
