Say Hi Sunday: No Rules Blog Hop {June 26}

First off, I want to say a great big Happy Birthday to my son, Lion!  He is one year old and that brings so much joy to my mommy heart!  I am so proud of you son!

Anyway, welcome to this weeks edition of Say HI Sunday, a no rules blog hop.  No rules means that you simply add your blog below and hop away.  So simple, and so fun!  A great way to meet and find new blogs to read.

As always, we love when you share our buttons, but it isn’t required.  Also, if you have been around at all these past few weeks, you will probably remember that I have been on vacation.  That put me a little behind, so if I haven’t follow you back, I plan too.  Just give me some time.  If you want to leave me a comment below, I will be sure to stop by and say Hi, and return the follow.

Lastly, be sure to stop by this week where I will finish up the recap stories from my second trip as well as post some reviews and maybe even a giveaway.  That is, of course, if I can find the time to get it all done between the follow backs ;)

Family Friday: Family Vacation Part 1 {Smokey Mountains}

Our family is not like your typical family.  We look forward to being together as much as possible.  We always find reasons to have parties and spend time with one another.  And most importantly, we spend a greater part of the year counting down to family vacation.

I mean, who do you know that looks forward to spending time under one roof with 15 other people (at least I think that is how many people there were)?  Even with all the different personalities, everyone in the family longs to be on vacation.

This year, we all gathered together in the family 15 passenger van, the truck and one of the cars and drove 8 plus hours to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee.  This is one of my favorite places to go.  It is so beautiful and there is always a reason to stop and thank God for His wonderful creation.  Here, I feel closer to Him than most places.

On our vacation we did all kinds of various activities.  Hannah Head actually can be quoted as saying that everyday she woke up sore in some area that she normally isn’t sore.  We did that many different kinds of exercise.  Even the 8 month pregnant Kalyn Head joined us for most of it.

And it was fun!  Nevermind that Bear was sick for most of the trip, or that our family of 4 had to leave early!  It was all worth it.  And lets just say, Grammy Head’s organization of teams for cooking and cleaning made it so much more enjoyable, especially for me who had the task of remembering who was supposed to do what.  I love that kind of stuff!

Here are a few pictures for you to enjoy from our trip:
