It’s a little hard to see, but I wanted to share with you my lovely hair-do from this past Wednesday and the story behind it.
There is a girl in my youth group that I got the awesome priviledge of taking to lunch two Saturdays ago. While we sat at the little Mexican restaurant and talked, she mentioned how much she enjoyed doing hair and hoped to be a hair dresser when she grew up.
Then she dropped the bomb on me!
“Tara, would you let me put extensions in your hair?”
Well, I am one to live a little on the edge at times and I told her she could. She, of course, wanted to do it right then, but then I reminded her that our day was a little busy with DC cafe and all.
So, after much talk, we decided that I would pick her up from school on Tuesday and we would go to the store to buy the extensions. We then had a long conversation about the differences between my hair and hers and how I had to wash my hair every day or it got greasy. She begged me to keep them in for our youth group night Wednesday and I told her I would.
Tuesday came and after 3 hours, I had black streaks of hair everywhere. This was a shock, since I had originally told her we would do one layer on the bottom of my hair. But since my hair was so long, we lived on the edge and she did my whole head.
Sadly for her, no one really noticed except my close family and I was all too eager to get the extensions out after youth group. But it was a fun experience and I am so glad that I did it
Have you ever did anything crazy like extensions in your hair?
