Assistant Teacher with Down Syndrome Inspires Me

Down syndrome

A little over a week ago, my twitter friend, kneeleigh, posted this awesome story of an assistant teacher of a Kindermusik class that has Down syndrome.  Being a mom of a child with Down syndrome, I wanted to take a moment and share the link with you to Bryann Burgess’ incredible story.

Teacher Born with Down Syndrome Breaks Stereotypes

Thank you Bryann and WLTX for sharing your story and inspiring moms like me to throw the lid off of the expectations of our children.  Also, thank you for destroying yet another one of the stereotypes of people with special needs.  Thank you Kindermusik for giving her the chance to do this.

I’m rooting for you Bryann!  You can fulfill your dreams.

Hooray! How inspirational! He's doing so well meeting his milestones, that I have no doubt he is going to do great things!

We have a fellow at our church who was born with Downs. He is such a sweet fellow and brings a smile to the face of everyone he meets!

By the way, click on a pic of my son. Everytime I click on your blog I think about how much our boys look alike! I think it's the hair, round cheeks, and baggy eyes! SO SWEET!

I just want to hug her!!!
