One of the first things I learned when I married Daddy Head is that he talks in his sleep. A LOT!!! I remember the first time that he did so. It scared me so bad I ended up crying myself to sleep that night. But that is a different story for a different day. On with the home improvement…
I have dreamed of having a cd player in my bathroom for awhile now. I finally figured out a way to accomplish this by putting a shelf in between the mirrors in my bathroom. I only had to explain it to my husband and go to Lowe’s to buy the material. It just so happened that on Monday night we went out as a family to dinner. Afterward, Daddy Head said that he needed to go to Lowe’s to buy light bulbs. I explained my idea and he went for it. By bedtime that night, I had a cd player in my bathroom.
The past few days I have enjoyed that cd player very much. Being able to listen to music or scripture cds while in the shower has been so refreshing. My husband really is a beast!
Now for the late night laugh…
Last night, upon returning from our date night, Daddy Head turned on the cd player. He must have hit a strange button or something. I had turned the player off as we laid down because I can’t sleep with music on that loud. As my head hit the pillow, the music came blaring from the bathroom. I quickly asked a sleeping Daddy Head if he pushed a strange button.
“I don’t know,” he replied.
“Do you think you could fix it, please?”
“Sure.”
The sounds that came afterward were quite a shock. Stumbling across the bedroom. A loud bang and then the metallic lifting of the lid of the cd player.
“That should fix it,” Daddy Head slurred.
I stiffled my laugh because it really dawned on me…he did all of that in his sleep. 3 years of marriage and I still can’t get over his sleep talking and sometimes walking. When I asked him about it this morning, he really couldn’t remember most of that happening.
Kind of reminds me of, “I’m searching for… student.” Like I said before, another story for another day.
Still laughing,
Mommy Head

I would love to hear the story of when made you cry… that would probably freak me out at first too. Funny!
I think I talk in my sleep more than Aaron does, and then when I realize what I'm doing I act like I never said anything. lol
